The Taketsuru Pure Malt range is a blended malt named in honour of Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky. He is the first Japanese who mastered whisky-making in Scotland and produced one of the first genuine whiskies in Japan. Masataka’s vision of whisky was formed by his experience in Scotland where he learned that the rich natural resources surrounding a distillery were essential for great whisky making.

Tastes Like?

Old gold colour with green tinge. Nose is a blend of almond paste, white flowers citrus and a hint of salt with balanced new oak vanilla notes. Palate is incredibly balanced with sweet spices, toasty praline and nuttiness balanced with citrus, ripe pear, permisson and pineapple notes. Long finish a hint of saltiness.
