Why you’ll love it:
Vincent Carême is a new wave of winemakers bringing the Loire back. The Le Clos is Vincent’s premium single vineyard cuvée produced from vines that are over 60 years old and extremely low yielding. The vineyard is situated on a steep southwest facing slope, ideal for sun exposure. The entire vineyard is six acres and surrounded by an ancient stone wall (Le Clos means “enclosed”). All the grapes were hand picked. Fermentation and maturation for 18 months in French oak (only 20% new). There's 3g/L residual sugar which perfectly balanced the natural acidity in the age worthy white.

Tastes Like?
Pale golden colour. Lovely perfumed nose with aromas of honey, acacia, gingerbread and a hint of beeswax. Layers of white flowers, citrus, crisp green apples, white nectarine, spiced honey and saline flavours. Palate is dry, wonderfully balanced super racy acidity with great tension and minerality. Long lingering finish. Will be wonderful in a few years to come!
