You’ll love if you love: Fuller bodied dark Pinot (nanny goat lovers of course!)

Why you’ll love it:

Winemaker Alan Peters-Oswald is believer of minimal intervention to produce wines with maximum expressions of their terroir. The Super Nanny is produced from select parcels of the best fruit each year. The grapes are hand picked, wild yeast fermented with some whole bunch inclusions, extended skin contact and spends 15 months in French oak barrels.

Alan grew up in Central Otago and despite moving away to do his studies in Marlborough, he always wanted to produce his own wines from the place that first sparked his love for wine and hence producing wines that truly depict a sense of place was highly important.

Tastes Like?

Dark purple in colour with a concentrated nose offering a bouquet of dark cherries, violets, dark plum and hint of anise. Palate is juicy and plump with fine, silky tannins. A big and powerful Pinot with great fruit purity. Flavours of ripe dark cherries, black plum, star anise and a hint of vanillan oak.
