La Maline is an effortlessly elegant Barossa Shiraz. The fruit is sourced from four vineyards in the higher parts of the north-west Barossa, Moculta, Eden Valley and the Eastern foothills. Made only in tiny quantities, the fruit undergoes a wild ferment in large format oak (about 30% new) and sees a healthy dose of whole bunches and a small amount of Viognier skins adds to the intoxicating aroma. The 2015 is a powerful wine, no question about that. This makes sense as 2015 was a powerful year.
