At the age of 33, Pedro Balda is Spain’s youngest agronomist with an Oenology PhD. He is widely recognised as one of Spain’s most talented and promising young winemakers. He was named one of the top 10 best new winemakers of Spain in 2014. After working in various iconic wineries around the world such as Chile Vina Santa Cruz, the United States Marimar Estate, Australia Henschke, and New Zealand's Dry River, he has brought his experience home to Spain. With only 0.5 hectare of more than 70 year old vines, he makes “natural” wines producing only 1200 bottles a year! 750 bottles of the 2011 Cosecha was made.

Tastes Like?

Dark purple in colour with aromas and flavours of dark fruits, dark cherry, blackberries, violets and woody notes. Ultra fine, silky tannins on the palate that glides ever so sensually down your mouth. Medium to full bodied, powerful and driven and oh so smooth.
