Why You’ll Love It?
Cute label, but a serious wine! Uniquely Spanish white made almost entirely from the almost extinct Albillo Mayor grape variety sourced from vines that are over 100 years old (with a hint of Doña Blanca and Malvaia Riojana). The vineyards are situated 800 to 1000 metres above sea level. After crushing, juice and skins are left in contact for 6 days. Fermented with wild yeast in stainless steel and bottled with no sulphur, no fining or filtration. Lovamor is a true expression of the natural intense flavours of the Duero terroir. With only about 400 bottles made this is one special bottle you’ll want to get your hands on quick!
Cloudy, golden yellow in colour with orange inflections. Aromas of jasmine, acacia, ripe golden delicious apple, pear, quince and a hint of honey. The palate is slightly funky, medium plus body, well rounded on the mid palate and finishes fresh. Flavours of lemon zest, apples, wild herbs, minerality and a slight almond skin bitterness.
