Why You'll Love It

Rita Marques is one of Portugal’s most talented young female winemaker. The Conceito Tinto is her flagship red from her homeland in the Douro. It’s produced from very old vines, around 50-80 years old from one of the coolest micro climates in Douro with fantastic diurnal range - Teja Valley - about 8 degrees cooler than Quinta do Meão. Particularly surprising, because it’s in the easternmost Douro Superior which, rule of thumb, is the hottest, driest Douro sub-region.
