Established in 1979, Clyde Park is one of Australia’s oldest wineries in Geelong, Victoria that produces wines of purity, complexity and finesse one would expect from old vines. The winery is dedicated to sustainable methods, everything is done by hand from the pruning, picking and sorting and it is also powered by solar energy! Clyde Park’s uncompromising approach to winemaking & viticulture has put it to the forefront of the Geelong region growth as a premium wine region of Australia.
The single vineyard wines are a true expression of terroir. The College Block F vines were first planted in 1988 and produces the most classically structured Pinot Noir, with alluring fragrance and texture. In 2014 it yielded 0.23 tonne/acre.
Nose offers charming aromas of red cherry, rose petal and strawberries with a level of complexity that will emerge with bottle age. The palate is fine and very well balanced, yet there is structure and power underpinning the elegant flavours.
