Why You'll Love It
Schubert Wines is a small artisan producer making hand-crafted, estate grown, Pinot Noir and Syrah. German born and trained, Kai Schubert and his wife and winemaking partner, Marion Deimling, employ traditional Burgundian winemaking methods with extreme low yields, (3/4 ton per acre), extended macerations and the exclusive use of Burgundian cooperage. Schubert's "Block B" Pinot Noir is produced form a blend of 100% Dijon clones. 100% de-stemmed, cold-maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats and left on “skins” for 3 weeks. Aged in 40% new and 60% used French oak barriques for 18 months. Kai Schubert is also the reason why we have Kusuda wines today.
