The white 2015 Navaherreros Blanco de Bernabeleva is a blend of 60% Albillo Real and 40% Macabeo (aka Viura) from 35- to 90-year-old vines planted on granite soils at 700 to 800 meters altitude. Albillo is often dubbed the hidden treasure of Spanish whites. Both varieties are harvested by hand and each sees a short period of skin contact before wild yeast fermentation in a mixture of large French and Austrian oak and stainless steel.
