Don't judge a book by its cover. Not the prettiest of labels but this wine will change your world! Timo Mayer comes from a family of winemakers with a history of 400 years in the industry. German by background but Aussie at heart. His vineyards are situated on very sleep slopes of Healesville, Victoria. Minimal interference, maximum flavour and complexity.
The Close Planted Pinot Noir consists of 30% whole bunch. The idea is that vines that are closely planted will fight for limited resources and produce grapes with greater flavour intensity.

Tastes Like?
Slightly heavier than the Dokter, it is has that unique wildness that's uniquely Mayer style. Ever so seductive nose with perfumes of strawberry fields, wild herbs and red cherry. The palate is super juicy and supple with mouth watering acid that was just perfect with our crispy Peking duck! Weighty, well balanced and effortless concentration with flavours of red cherry, red currant, cherry cola, strawberry and cranberry.
