Why You'll Love It?

2009 was an exceptional vintage in Bordeaux that produced very ripe, rich and opulent wines thanks to superb climatic conditions from mid-July onwards. Chateau Loudenne is one of the oldest oldest Cru Bourgeois properties overlooking the Gironde river. This area in Medoc tends to be slightly cooler than the rest of the region, but the position of this estate means it benefits from the warmth that's reflected from the river as well as the gentle sea breeze that helps to create the perfect conditions. Aged in 30% new French oak barrels for 16 months.

Tastes Like?

Intense ruby red with garnet inflections. Ripe dark fruits, blackberries, mocha and a hint of vanilla. Very rich on the palate with flavours of ripe dark cherries, mocha and cassis. Big, supple tannins with equally noticeable oak, both well integrated. Drinking perfectly now, but can hold for another 3 years.
