Why you’ll love it:
This wine is produced from one of the oldest vineyards in Australia dating back to 1858. The vineyard sits at 390m above sea level in a rain shadow allowing the fruit to ripen late into Autumn. This Grenache is from original 1858 bush vine and is hand-picked and hand sorted prior to fermentation. After 15 months the wine is gently hand racked from barrell with no fining or filtration before bottling. This is a remarkably powerful and bright wine with a distinct Grenache profile.
Tastes Like?
Light to medium pink to purple tones with a vibrant hue. Bright tones of raspberrry, cranberries and red currants mixed with base notes of rhubarb, gamy meat, ceylon tea, bay leaves and white pepper. There's a lush drive of concentrated raspberry, cranberry and rhubarb fruit on the palate that follows through to a charcuterie and charry tannic frame supported by brilliant juicy acid and flowery perfume.
